Overview
Threat actors collecting LuxTrust credentials, OTP tokens and credit card credentialsExplanation
Threat actors are trying to collect LuxTrust credentials, OTP tokens and credit card credentials.
The phishing mail leads the user to believe that their electronic identity certificate will expire soon.
By clicking on the link, the user is redirected to a page where they must enter their user id. Next, they are asked to enter their credit card credentials (card number, expiration date and CVV). After completion of this step, the LuxTrust authentication credentials are asked, after which the user has to enter One-Time-Pad (OTP) code. Finally, the user has to provide the SMS code received.
After successful completion of all the steps, the attacker is able to perform a bank transfer.
