Threat actors collecting personal information and credit card credentials

Explanation

Threat actors are using a Colruyt supermarket theme to collect personal information and credit card credentials.

The phishing mail leads the user to believe that they can get a personalised discount card entitling them to a 30% discount on all purchases in store or online during the coming year.

Clicking on “Continuer” takes the user to the landing page, after which a customer satisfaction feedback survey is shown. Next, personal details and addressing information is asked.

Finally, credit card information is requested.

If you are uncertain about the authenticity of an email, do not hesitate to contact the entity that seems to have sent you the email using a safe communication manner, using the phone for example (no phone number from the untrusted email must be used in order to verify the authenticity).
