Threat actors are impersonating Luxembourg’s social security administration to collect personal information and credit card credentials.
The attack begins with a fake SMS asking to renew the social security cards of Luxembourg.
When clicking on the link (Mettez à jour votre carte), the victim is taken to the landing page, where they have to enter personal information.
Once this information is provided, credit card credentials are requested.
If you are uncertain about the authenticity of an email, do not hesitate to contact the entity that seems to have sent you the email using a safe communication manner, using the phone for example (no phone number from the untrusted email must be used in order to verify the authenticity).
