Explanation
This phishing involves collecting credit card credentials by impersonating Centre commun de la sécurité sociale (CCSS). The fake SMS on behalf of GouvAlert claims that the Luxembourgish social security card needs to be renewed. A new card can allegedly be ordered by clicking on the underlined link.
Clicking on that URL takes the victim to a page where they first have to enter some personal details. In a further step, they have to select a delivery option after which private data are requested. Next, the victim has to enter their credit card details. After submitting these data, they finally receive confirmation that their card is on its way.
All the steps described above have taken place on pages under the malicious domain ‘cns-order.com’ .
